Dorm laundry: the 8 essentials every freshman needs
Skip the $3-per-cycle dorm dryer. The 8 items under €30 that turn a dorm room into a personal laundry.
The problem with hotel laundry
Every traveller hits the same wall: a clean shirt for tomorrow, no time to find a laundromat, and hotel laundry wants €15 per item. Most people default to one of three bad options: pay the fee, hand-wash and hang-dry (smells like mildew by morning), or just wear the dirty shirt.
Why Wadewow works
The insight: every hotel room already has a hair dryer producing 1200–2200W of hot air. We just need to route that air through wet clothes in a sealed 60-litre chamber. 15–40 minutes per load. €0. No new electronics, no built-in motor, no batteries — just a fabric bag, a silicone collar, and your hairdryer. Hairdryer and hanger are not included.
The 3-step routine
1. Hand-wash in the basin with hotel soap
2. Hang inside Wadewow on the internal hooks (up to 5 garments)
3. Connect the bathroom hair dryer through the silicone collar. Medium heat, high fan. Walk away.
What you save
A typical 7-day trip generates 14 items needing laundry. At €5/item, that is €70 saved. Wadewow pays for itself in 2-3 trips. The bag also works with any van-life hair dryer (off-grid) and most dorm-room hair dryers.
Frequently asked questions about Wadewow
If you are reading this guide and wondering whether Wadewow is right for your trip, these quick answers cover the most common questions we get from travellers who saw the bag mentioned in one of our blog posts.
1. How much does Wadewow cost?
Wadewow is a single global price of €33.88 VAT included, with no currency conversion, no regional markup and no hidden duties. We sell through Amazon UK for the UK and EU, and ship worldwide from our Manchester warehouse. There are no subscription fees, no upsells, and the silicone nozzle collar and drawstring storage pouch are included in the box. Hairdryer and hanger are not included.
2. Does Wadewow work with any hair dryer?
Yes. Wadewow works with almost any 1200W to 2200W hair dryer — wall-mounted hotel dryers in the UK, EU, US, AU, NZ, travel dryers from Dyson, BaByliss Pro, Philips, Remington, Revlon, Conair, and the 12V inverter dryers used in vans and RVs. The flexible silicone collar fits round, oval and rectangular nozzles up to 55mm diameter. The hair dryers in most European hotels are fully compatible. Hairdryer and hanger are not included.
3. How long does Wadewow take to dry clothes?
Thin items (underwear, socks, t-shirts) take 15 to 25 minutes. Thicker items (jeans, hoodies, sports bras) take 30 to 45 minutes. The full 5 to 7 garment load finishes in 35 to 50 minutes, which is the same time you would spend showering and getting dressed, so by the time you are ready, your clothes are too.
4. Is Wadewow TSA and airline approved?
Yes. Wadewow contains no batteries, no built-in heating element, no liquids, and no electronics of its own, so it sails through every airport security checkpoint we have tested (over 200, including the strictest in the US, UK, EU and Asia). Fits in any standard carry-on, weekender, or backpack.
5. What is the return and warranty policy?
30-day no-questions-asked returns on every order, free UK returns via Royal Mail Tracked, full refund processed within 5 working days. EU and worldwide returns are paid by the buyer. Wadewow also comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, just email wadewow981009@163.com with your order number.
